Grand Hyatt Berlin named "Best Hotel in Germany"!


Berlin, Germany (21 January 2011) - The online hotel review platform, the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2011, named Grand Hyatt Berlin the “Best Hotel in Germany” on 18 January 2011. This award was based on an extensive analysis of users’ comments on TripAdvisor.

Fred Hürst, area vice president Hyatt Central Europe, said: “We are delighted with the ‘Best Hotel in Germany’ award from TripAdvisor. Online hotel reviews are a vital indicator of the well-being of our guests and we take them very seriously. Hyatt Newport Beach - Amazing Lobby Renovation!



Last week I made a quick trip to Laguna Beach, CA for a great meeting with 3 wonderful clients!  Since we don't have a hotel in Laguna.. I stayed at the Hyatt Newport Beach about 10 miles to the north. 

What a great surprise!  This was my first time visiting this property, and it's a little mini-resort nestled in Orange County.  The hotel has just over 400 oversized guest rooms with great walk-out balcony's.. and 26,000 square feet of meeting space.  In addition, the hotel is situated on 26 lushly landscaped acres, and features a 9 hole par 3 executive golf course, 3 sparkling swimming pools and tennis & shuffleboard courts.  If you're looking for a little oasis just 10 minutes from John Wayne Orange County Airport, and 2 minutes from the giant Fashion Island mall - this is it!

The biggest WOW of my stay was the stunning, sleek lobby renovation that they JUST completed.  The new look is very contemporary, and it's amazing!  As soon as the hotel sends me a picture I'll post it.. but for now, you'll just have to settle for a great view of one of their swimming pools.

My Trip to the MLS Superdraft @ Hyatt Regency Baltimore!


Hi Everyone!

Last week I had the opportunity to hop on a weather-delayed Southwest Flight headed towards Baltimore to see all of my friends at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore, and to mingle with all of the great Travel Directors for the Major League Soccer Teams - I had a blast! 

First, Hyatt is again looking forward to partnering with the Houston Dynamo, Columbus Crew, Philadelphia Union and Seattle Sounders for the 2011 Season!  Second, I want to welcome the Vancouver Whitecaps and the Portland Timber teams into the league - I know you're teams are going to enjoy staying at our Hyatt properties this season!

Second, the Hyatt Regency Baltimore looks FAB!  This hotel features my favorite "Hyatt Bathroom" in the entire company - which is why I featured it in the picture above!  The hotel is situated right on the Inner harbor, and right across the street from the convention center.  Our hotel couldn't be in a better location!  They just finished a complete renovation of their 2nd floor - which is where most of the meeting space is located.  And, this renovation just compliments the earlier stunning renovation of their guest rooms and previously mentioned bathrooms.  Click HERE to check out some more great pictures of this hotel!
